inclusion of an HDMI cable is a very nice touch especially when we see other companies try to make you buy branded expensive HDMI cables from them , Well done Kogan
doddle to set up nearly plug and play, plugged it in and entered the wifi settings and was up and running in exactly 4 minutes, it took more time to undo the package
my 8yr old son was playing his favorite Angry Birds game on android in a big screen within 10 minutes of it being set up
After I was able to get the wireless keyboard/remote away from him ( i recommend buying the wireless keyboard/remote/mouse) I was able to access HD content from the web without any stuttering and good quality audio, HD TV really started earning its keep, accessed the normal websites that i normally access without any problem, full flash support unlike my ipad
only thing that I may want to see is an on/off switch on the keyboard, the Wii style remote is fun but the keyboard is more practical
Recieved my Agora Interent TV last week and have been playing about with it ever since. Generally impressed with the performance, will play back SD video no problem at all with installed player and other players from the market. HD Video seems to be a bit jerky and not the smoothest experience.
If you know and love android on your Phone then you will be very comfortable with the Agora IPTV. Its a Vanilla flavour of Froyo so is fairly up to date, would be interesting to see a gingerbread update, just like the agora tablet has recieved, but don't know if there are any plans to upgrade the OS.
Market access is the key to this product, means you can easily go grab the apps and widgets you require to customize your experience. Some odd app compatibility issues with the device however, I found apps like google talk, maps and some other misc apps not available through the market place. Some other apps like google earth just cause a force close every time.
Probably the most important question people will be asking is "What about Angry Birds?" It plays a treat!!!
The remote control is okay but can be at little buggy at times and trying to type on the onscreen keyboard is irratating at best. I have ordered the Wireless keyboard as well but haven't recieved this as of yet, I reckon that will make life easier!
Have to say that the Device fits my needs perfectly. Spotify and the browser shall be the most used things as it is going to be attaced to a flat panel in my kitchen, perfect for pulling up recipes and listening to choons while cooking away.
Worth the cash. And a decent stop gap until google bring their TV product to the UK, which might be a long time yet.
